Based on the E-government cloud platform of Supercomputer Center, the city of Guangzhou launched the construction of spatial and temporal database, development of cloud platform and improvement of its support environment. This is witnessed by some pioneering works especially in the field of smart urban-rural planning, including the provision of spatial and temporal information resources service, construction of information interaction platform for the "integration of three plans", analysis on the mobility of people based on mobile information in the project of Smart Guangzhou. These will contribute to the advancement of smart urban-rural planning, the exploration of construction modes, sharing modes and service modes of spatial and temporal information cloud platform for smart cities.
