古彝文字(毕摩经书)和规范彝文(川)都属于方形字体,具有抽象与形象、神似与形似两大特点,并以神似为主、形似为辅的简要朴素的部首笔画构成,以表音为主、表意为辅的音节字面貌特征出现.1980年《彝文规范方案》由国务院批准颁布实施以来,在30年后的今天,彝文书法艺术字体取得了可喜可贺的成绩,成为了云贵川等彝文书法字体艺术界的重要力量,如今彝文书法艺术道路进一步繁荣了书法艺术魅力.
