music teacher education is a hot topic in current music education system and a key factor of the develop-ment of music teacher education. By comparison of American and Chinese music teacher education from the aspects of cultivation aim,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation,beneficial experience in A-merican music teacher education curriculum is summarized in order to be helpful for our countryˊs relevant curriculum re-form.
