路志正教授治疗胸痹主张从调理脾胃入手，认为脾胃与心在经脉、气血等多个方面联系密切，脾胃功能失常出现的气血亏虚、气机升降失常、湿浊痹阻，都可以导致胸痹。脾胃功能失常是本，湿、浊、痰、瘀痹阻不通是标，标本兼治，才是治病求本之法，在治疗上应采取健脾益气、行气化滞、祛湿化浊、宽胸散结、和胃利胆等方法，尤其针对胸痹初期湿浊痹阻之时加强治疗，防其演变为痰瘀互结的后期病变。

Prof. Lu Zhizheng treats chest pain based on regulating the spleen and stomach functions. He believes that there are the close connections of the spleen and stomach with the heart in terms of meridi-ans,qi,blood,etc. Dysfunction of spleen and stomach presents qi and blood deficiency,abnormal ascending and descending of qi and blockage by damp and turbidity,which may result in chest pain. Dysfunction of spleen and stomach is the primary of disease and the blockage by damp,turbidity,phlegm and stasis is the secondary. Both the primary and the secondary shall be concerned in treatment. The methods such as benefi-ting spleen qi,promoting qi circulation,resolving stagnation,removing damp,relaxing the chest,removing masses,harmonizing stomach and benefiting gallbladder are provided. The treatment is intensified specifically at the early stage of chest pain with blockage of damp and turbidity involved so as to prevent from the interac-tion of phlegm and stasis at the late stage.
