晚晴至民国时期是吉林省历史上社会最为动荡的时期，中医药事业乃至中药店老字号的发展都面临着严峻地挑战。调查吉林省图书馆、长春市图书馆、吉林市图书馆、长春中医药大学图书馆等4家大型图书馆的馆藏清末民国时期的史志、卫生志等近50部资料，来窥见这段历史时期中药店发展的状况以及当时社会经济的发展状况。晚清至民国时期吉林省地方志中记载的中药店老字号有78家，其特点表现在多在人口集中、经济发达的市镇，规模大、历史更悠久；采取前店后厂的经营模式，自制质量上乘的中成药；聘请名医坐诊；独特的经营管理方式。

It is the most chaos era in the history of Jilin province from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,in which,the development of Chinese medicine and the old and famous Chinese medicinal herbs shop had faced the seriously challenge. Nearly 50 data of historical annals and health annals from the late of the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China were investigated in 4 large - scale libraries,named Jilin Provincial Library,Changchun Municipal Library,Jilin Municipal Library and Library of Changchun Universi-ty of Traditional Chinese Medicine so as to detect the development of Chinese medicinal herbs shop in this historical era as well as social economic development at that time. From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,78 old and famous Chinese medicinal herbs shops were recorded in chorography of Jilin province, which is characterized as being located in the places with population concentration,well - developed towns, large scale and long history,self - marketing as the business model,producing the high - quality patent medi-cines by themselves,inviting famous doctors to see patients and unique management style.
