哲学家周国平认为史铁生是中国当代最有灵魂的作家，在灵魂缺席的时代，有史铁生是中国的幸运。本文专门讨论史铁生作品的灵魂深度，认为他的灵魂深度表现于自我省察、自我拷问、自我忏悔、追随心魂、与神对话几个主要方面。

As the Chinese philosopher Zhou Guoping comments, Mr.Shi Tiesheng is the most soulful writer in con-temporary China, given that the current Chinese society is battered by the absence of the soul.This paper examines the depth of soul in Shi Tiesheng’ s representative works and concludes that his depth of soul is manifested in such aspects as self-examination, self-torture, self-confession, pursuance of heart and soul, and dialogue with God.
