The vertical bearing capacity of artificial excavated rock-socketed single pile was usually higher. Because of the equipment,field conditions and many other restrictions,using single pile vertical compressive static load test to detect its bearing capacity was very difficult. Based on engineering examples,this paper introduced how to use rock foundation loading test to determine and calculate the bearing capacity of the foundation thus to determine the vertical compressive bearing capacity of a single pile.
