This study analyzes that the formula of the big breath evaporation loss of floating roof tank,recommended by“Design guideline for energy conservation of petroleum depots",only contains the adhesion loss but ignores the seal losses.It is pointed out that the data order in sticking coefficient table in “Design guideline for energy conservation of petroleum depots" should be adjusted,and breathing loss formula should contain both volatile properties of oil in the tank and airtight properties of the tank.It is recommended that “Design guideline for energy conservation of petroleum depots"should be revised timely.
