Total height of large steel headgear in a foreign mine is 65m, type of structure is circular steel tube double inclined column steel headgear, technology of modularization design is adopted. The paper introduces structure design of steel headgear and overall process of modularization technology, and focuses on description of structure type selection of steel headgear, modularization division and assembling. Result of engineering application shows that the new steel headgear has the properties of materials saving, convenient construction and obvious comprehensive economic benefit.
