血液的生成、转化等生理过程是一个复杂的循环体系。中医学认为，心主血脉，具有生成血液的作用；脾主生血统血，具有生化、统摄血液的作用；肝主藏血，具有贮藏血液、调节血量、防止出血的作用；肾藏精，为气血津液最根本的来源，且具有固摄血液的作用。任一脏器功能紊乱均有可能导致血液成分生成减少、丢失等病理环节的出现，导致外周血红细胞容量的减少，故贫血的产生与心、脾、肝、肾关系密切。“系统辨证脉学”是齐向华教授在古今脉学成果研究和大量临床实践的基础上总结和归纳出的脉学体系。根据“系统辨证脉学”分析可知，贫血多具有稀、滑、细、弱、沉的脉象特征。
