Exposure to secondhand smoking is a well-known risk factor for the onset of bronchial asthma (asthma).Long-term exposure to secondhand smoking can increase the severity and mortality of asthma and diminish the responsing to treatment of drug.In this article,the epidemiology,pathogenesis and treatment of asthma of exposure to secondhand smoking and detection method of secondhand smoking are reviewed.
