Facing the society where experience has become a main focus, museums are more concerned with the emotional communication between people and space and the aesthetic value and cultural connota-tion of the exhibition space. The artistic conception created in the exhibition space is embodied in the visit-ing experience of the audience and the empathy that he or she generates during visiting. The exhibition space design is a kind of fine art. To borrow the theories and methodologies from semiology and explore the further application of semiology in creating artistic conception in museum exhibitions may help improve the practice.
