Two gas turbine exhaust gas flow testing methods in ASME PTC 4.4 2008 version were de-scribed in this paper,namely the gas turbine heat balance method and heat recovery steam generator (HRSG)heat balance method.Taking the performance test results of an F class combined cycle unit as the example,the above two methods were compared,from the aspect of measuring parameters,instruments, testing results and uncertainty analysis.The results show that,to reduce the experimental costs,a pretest sensitivity analysis for each design parameter is recommended when choosing the testing method and in-struments with relevant precisions and quantities,for combined cycle unit with different systems.
