英语情态动词的使用一直是中国英语学习者的重点以及难点，大量研究表明，中国学习者在情态动词的使用上和本族语者存在着一定的差距。本研究通过对比随机抽取的非英语专业中国英语大学生英语作文语料库和本族语者英语语料库，探究中国学习者在情态动词的使用情况。研究发现，中国学习者在can 和wil的使用上有过度使用情况，而在would的使用上存在过少使用的现象。

The use of the English modal verb is always the emphasis and difficulty in Chinese learners of English, a large number of studies show that Chinese learners in the use of modal verbs, there is a certain gap. Compared to a random sample of this study, Chinese non-English major college students' English composition corpus and native English speakers English corpus, to explore the usage of modal verbs for Chinese learners.
