In some generator units in the Three Gorges Hydropower Station , corona phenomenon is observed in the loca-tion of the iron-core slots of the stator winding bars .Possible reasons of such corona are analyzed from aspects of the an-ti-corona structure for the winding bars and materials used in the stator installation .Measures to eliminate such corona are then proposed .Practice shows that the generator units operated well after the treatment .
