承接产业转移是西部地区加快发展和经济崛起的重要手段。随着西部大开发的不断深入以及城镇化的进行，积极承接外来产业不仅能促进西部大开发战略经济效益的发挥，对解决半城镇化导致的就业问题，提升西部自主发展能力具有重要的现实意义。从理论和实证两方面对西部地区承接产业转移的就业效应进行研究，发现积极承接劳动密集型产业以及新兴现代服务业有利于促进西部经济增长，增加就业数量，改善就业质量，相反承接农业产业则对就业产生抑制效应，不利于就业数量的增加。

Receiving industrial transformation is an important way to accelerate the economic develop‐ment in the western areas .With the deepening of Westward Movement and urbanization ,it can both stim‐ulate the strategic development of economy in the west and solve the unemployment problem brought by the half urbanization situation to actively accept the industry from outside world .It has practical signifi‐cance to improve the self‐developing ability fro the west areas .We should study the employment effect of accepting industrial transformation from theoretical and empirical aspects .It is discovered that accepting the labor‐intensive industry and new modern service industry will enhance the economic development in western areas ,increase the number of the employed ,and better the employing quality .On the contrary ,it has some disadvantages to accept the agricultural industry in its restricting effect and the increase of the number of the employed .
