The process of the vertical mill grinding system of a 1 000 000 t/a slag power production line was introduced, and by the giv?en design original data, the thermal and air balance of the hot-blast furnace and vertical mill system were calculated by Excel software, and the key calculation points were analysed. On that basis, the selection basis of the key equipments like hot-blast furnace, dedustor and fan were found.
