Advanced, fast, efficient computer technology, spatial database technology, network technology, virtual reality technology has a powerful impact on traditional coal industry, bringing hitherto unknown opportunities and challenges of the transformation to the development of China's mining industry.However, the mining informatization level in China is still so backward that some basic con-cepts are still unable to agree on which is right.This paper, combined with the former, analyses the basic concepts and research con-tents of DM, IM, VM.
