The paper introduces the basic connotations of metadata repository and the way of resources integration based on metadata repository , and points out the features, such as heterogeneity and dispersibility, of public digital cultural resources and metadata standards. The paper also discusses the implement of metadata repository technology in the public digital cultural resources integration, and builds the framework of resources integration based on metadata repository and then analyzes the application prospect of metadata repository in public digital cultural resources integration, and points out its possible problems and countermeasures.
