Based on analyzing and discussing of structure and working principle of a large mine submersible pump, the main factors of mechanical power loss were set up, causation of each energy loss were proposed, and calculation methods were pointed out. According to example in mine actual operation of submersible pump, the measures were presented to reduce the mechanical power loss of a large mine submersible pump.
