In this paper,a mechanical model of high level cantilever structure is proposed and established based on the prototype of a high level large-span cantilever building which is in construction.The seismic performance of this type of the structure is conducted through time history analysis in rare earthquake events. The accuracy of the pushover analysis based on force control patterns、displacement control patterns and as well as the MPA(Modal Pushover analysis)are addressed and discussed by comparing the results with the time-history analysis results.
