Chemical informatics, as chemistry and its related workers’ mentor, plays a very important role in scientific innovative research. The connotation, theory and practice of chemical informatics were used as a starting point to dissect its teaching difficult points and teaching efficacy in depth. A wide variety of new opinions were put forward to improve the teaching efficiency of chemical informatics course, which laid a solid foundation for fostering innovative inter-disciplinary talents in university.
