Multiple problems with one method ( MPOM) is one of the Chinese traditional teaching method. MPOM is a very effective teaching method for university professional course with shorter hours. The concrete teaching practice of MPOM in the course of computer application in chemical engineering was expounded. MPOM’s teaching method to solve many chemical problems with excel software programming solver, such as fitting various experimental parameters, solving equations, optimizing process and identifying differential model, and so on, was introduced. The teaching practice had proved that MPOM’s teaching method was successful and can greatly improve the efficiency of teaching. It was worthy of popularization and application.
