The main reasons of oil leakage of the speed reducer for scraper conveyor were analyzed in this paper, because of the harsh working environment and working condition of the scraper conveyor, serious effects on the oil seal were produced. The solutions for this type of fault were discussed afterward, and aimed at getting the best solution.
