This paper expounded the practice of Huizhou Municipal Central Hospital in utilization of high-value medical consumables management system and the bar code technology to promote the informatization of logistics management in the hospital. As a consequence, the source and destination of medical consumables were tracked and the status quo of the stock was controlled in clinical departments, which made the high-value medical consumables managed and used in a more standardized way.
