通过对长江流域江西棉区棉花产业的调研，表明近年来由于受粮食安全、粮棉比价等因素影响，致使该区棉花生产遭受巨大挑战。探讨了长江流域棉花产业对科技的战略需求，提出了长江流域棉花产业未来科技发展方向。为该棉区加强棉花科技创新、提高棉花生产的科技水平、提高棉农的植棉效益，进而保证国家的棉花安全。

Through the investigation and research of Jiangxi cotton industry in the Yangtze River Basin,indicating that duing to food security,grain price and other factors influence in recent years,resulting in cotton production in this area suf-fered a tremendous challenge.The strategic demand of the cotton industry in the Yangtze River Basin was discussed,and the direction of technology developing in the future was proposed.For the cotton strengthen cotton science and technology innova-tion,improving the technological level of cotton production,cotton planting benefit of the cotton farmers,so as to guarantee the safety of the nation’s cotton.
