1938年南岳军事会议转变对日战略，明确了“转守为攻，转败为胜”的二期抗战任务；在坚持持久抗战的基础上，更加强调“有限攻势与反击”战略指导和“游击战重于正规战”的战略思想；会议依据新的战略形势全面调整各战区规划部署并强化部队整训、提升国军战力。南岳军事会议成功实现抗日过渡时期的重大战略转变，对抗日战争胜利进程产生重大而积极的影响。

Nan-yue military conference in 1 938 urged the national government to change his strategy in anti-Japa-nese war,which clarified the war's mission of"shifting defense to attack,shifting failure to victory".The conference persisted in durable anti-Japanese war,and emphasized the strategic guidance of "limited offensive and counterat-tack"and the strategic thinking of"guerrilla warfare over regular warfare".Based on newly-emerged strategic situa-tion the meeting thoroughly adjusted its planned deploy in related military areas,and decided to strengthen armed forces training so as to improve their fighting capacity.Nan-yue military conference succeeded in transforming the significant strategy of anti-Japanese war,which influenced significantly and positively on the victory of Chinese anti-Japanese war.
