西瓜甜瓜是重要的园艺作物，种植效益较高，但随着设施栽培面积的扩大，连茬障碍及土传病害日益严重。嫁接是克服土传病害的有效办法，对于提高西甜瓜的产量和品质具有重要意义。综述了2014年西瓜甜瓜砧木育种领域的最新研究进展。

Watermelon and muskmelon are important horticultural crops, and their planting benefits are relatively high.But a-long with the expansion of their protective cultivation area, the continuous-cropping obstacle and soil-borne diseases are becoming more and more serious.Grafting is an effective method for overcoming soil-borne diseases, and it has a very important significance for improving the yield and quality of watermelon and muskmelon.This paper summarizes the latest research progresses of watermelon and muskmelon rootstock breeding in 2014 in the world.
