Gap junction is a special membrane channel between adjacent cells, which connects cyto-plasm,mediates electrochemical signals between the adjacent cells. More and more studies have shown that gap junctions is closely associated with the occurrence,development and treatment of all kinds of heart dis-ease. In-depth understanding of targeted therapy for gap junction protein,may provide a new train of thoughts for the treatment of various heart disease. Here is to make a review of the research progress of the correlation between gap junction and heart diseases in recent years.
