在前期研究基础上,通过问卷调查和课外访谈对留学生期待的汉语教师个性特征进行了调查、统计和分析,发现留学生个体因素如年龄、性别、国籍、汉语水平、学习时间、母语语系、性格特征、是否华裔等方面均与教师个性特征的期待有着或大或小的相关性。限于篇幅,仅从留学生的母语语系、汉语学习时长、汉语水平、个性倾向、是否华裔等角度与教师个性特征期待的相关性进行考察,认为留学生个体因素决定着其对汉语教师个性特征的期待要素及程度。在国际汉语教师教育、选拔和培训尤其是汉语教学过程中决不能忽视学习者基于个体差异的种种期待,这是实施差异教学、因材施教的前提条件。

Based on previous research findings,this paper explores the Chinese-language teachers' personality traits commonly expected by the international students through questionnaires and in-depth interviews.The results reveal significant associations between their personality traits preferred by the international students and the differences of individual students in connection to age,sex,na-tionality,Chinese language proficiency,length of Chinese-language learning,mother tongue,personali-ty as well as the differences of the Chinese-heritage and non-Chinese-heritage students.This paper an-alyzes the differential preference over the teachers'personality traits in the perspectives of the mother tongue,Chinese language proficiency,length of Chinese-language learning,personality and Chinese-heritage and non-Chinese-heritage students as well as the extent of these preferences among students with different backgrounds.These findings can be used to inform the recruitment and training of Chi-nese-language teachers so as to tailor the Chinese-language teaching to the individuals'aptitudes and a-chieve the best outcomes.
