民间故事一直被认为是弱势群体的心灵写照，心理补偿与情感宣泄则是民间故事的主要功能。就东北民间故事而言，文本的表述当中既有对超现实力量的崇拜和依赖，也存在着现实理性对主体力量的极大肯定；既有对财富及其持有者的讥刺贬损，也有对财富地位的向往与认同，而“道义”的规定则突破了阶级意识的局限。东北民间故事反映出乡土精神世界的复杂性。

Folk tales, with the main functions of psychological compensation and emotional catharsis, have been regarded as the portrayal of vulnerable groups’souls. As far as northeast folk tales concerned, there are human’s worship and dependence on the surreal power, affirmation of realistic rationality towards main forc?es, and irony to wealth and its owner, yearnings and agreement to wealth and social position. Regulations of mo?rality break the limitations of class consciousness. Northeast folk tales reflect the complexity of the world of ru?ral spirits. Only going back to the society, with empirical evidence for the principle, adopting scientific method to collect folk tales, can we get the real folk style and features.
