作为20世纪颇负盛名的哲学家和翻译家，贺麟不仅在翻译理论方面有深入的探讨，在翻译实践方面也有很深的造诣。贺麟关于可译性、译名翻译的研究包融传统译论，而他关于重译、深度翻译的研究又关照现代译论。重新发现并认识贺麟翻译思想对中国译论译史方面的重建具有重要的价值。

As an outstanding philosopher and translator in the 20th century, He Lin has contributed a lot not only to translation theory but also to translation practice .However , it is a pity that his contribution to these fields has seldom been studied systematically and comprehensively before .With a panoramic and systematic sorting out of He Lin ’ s contribution in these domains , this article makes an attempt to find out and reconsid-er value of his theory and practice of translation to Chinese traditional translation theory , Chinese modern translation theory as well as Chinese translation theory and translation history .Besides , it is necessary to make a detailed analysis and study of He Lin ’ s theory and practice in translation in the rewriting of Chinese translation theory and translation history in the future .
