The paper introduces the mechanism of the inertia-gravity bag compound iflter and its breakthrough applications in smoke-gas treatments of big-sized coal-ifred generating sets of the power industry. The new precipitation mode integrates the dust recovery advantages of inertia-gravity iflter and bag iflter through capturing a large number of dust particulates by inertia-gravity iflter before and ifne dust by bag iflter after. This is a new technology innovation which has realized the organic combination of inertia-gravity iflter and bag iflter.
