A new analytical method was established to determine propylthiouracil in the propellant.The specific external standard was used to eliminate the defect that the propylthiouracil was incompletely extracted. And the method’s validity was verified by chemical method. The results show that the method is simple and rapid in operation, has high precision and accuracy, and can be used for detection of propylthiouracil in propellant.
