文章采用文献资料法、数理统计法和比较法，综合研究近六届奥运会中国男篮的年龄与成绩之间的关系，研究结果显示：中国奥运男篮取得第八名时的平均年龄都介于25~26岁之间，职业球龄稳定在8年左右；球队中处于巅峰期的高水平球员越多，实力越强，比赛成绩越好；球队中各位置的实力与平均年龄关系密切，当平均年龄处于巅峰期之间时，该位置的实力较强；中锋的实力决定着球队的总体实力。

Through literature study, the system analytic hierarchy process and comparison, the thesis comprehensively studies the relationship between the age and the achievement of Chinese Men’s Basketball Team, and the result shows:the average age of Chinese Men’s Basketball Team was from 25 to 26 when they ranked the 8th in the Olympics with their playing length of steadily 8 years or so; the more high-leveled players at the peak, the better the team will be and the more achievement they will gain; the strength of every position in the team is closely related to the average age and the strength of a position is the best when the players’ average age is at the peak; the strength of the centre forward determines the overall strength of the team.
