The Kinematic Models for Design Digital Library (KMODDL) was developed with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of the National Science Digital Library showing the Charm of the Geometry of Pure Motion. Its col ection is rich and has specialty features. This open access library provides a col ection of mechanical models and related resources for teaching the principles of kinematics. This review examined various aspects of the library, including the project's background, organization of resources, service features, and technical characteristics. Authors' comments about the project of KMODDL were also given.
