党的十八大报告明确提出，立德树人是教育的根本任务。十八届三中全会通过的《中共中央关于全面深化改革若干重大问题的决定》更加明确地要求全面贯彻党的教育方针，坚持立德树人。其中完善中华优秀传统文化教育，形成长效教育的有效形式和长效机制，增强学生社会责任感、创新精神、实践能力更是时代发展和教育根本任务的要求。可见，当前用中华优秀传统文化来引导大学生德育工作，既符合历史发展，也是时代需要，更是对大学生进行德育教育的有效途径。
