Based on some data and fasts obtained in actual survey, this paper analyzes the current situation of and problems in the humanistic social science quality of Guangzhou residents, probes into the functions of reading in cultivating and improving the Guangzhou residents of the residents, and puts forward some corresponding development countermeasures.
