ABSTRACT:Readers have important legal status in public library. Protecting the rights of readers is the core of all works of public library. Making the legitimate rights and interests of readers get effective guarantee is an important symbol of public library’s civilization. This paper introduces readers’ legal status and its importance, expounds the legal status characteristics of the readers in public library, analyzes the rights enjoyed by the readers in public library, and puts forward some measures for protecting readers’ rights.
