古代女子在思想方面遵守无才便是德的操守，生活上顺从丈夫、严守妇德，附属于男子。但是成书于南朝时期的《世说新语》中所反映的女性形象却是另一番景象。她们的思想和行为与以往对女性的要求大相径庭甚至相违背，在诸多方面展现出魏晋时期女性与众不同的风尚和独特的魅力。
고대녀자재사상방면준수무재편시덕적조수，생활상순종장부、엄수부덕，부속우남자。단시성서우남조시기적《세설신어》중소반영적녀성형상각시령일번경상。저문적사상화행위여이왕대녀성적요구대상경정심지상위배，재제다방면전현출위진시기녀성여음불동적풍상화독특적매력。
In the aspect of thinking ,the ancient woman Complied with the ethics that the woman who has no ability owns the virtue ;in the aspect of thinking ,they obeyed their husband ,complied with the fe‐male virtues strictly ,they affiliated to men .But the female image reflected in the book A New A ccount o f Tales of the World that completed in Southern Dynasty was another differernt scene .Their thoughts and actions differed from the traditional requirements or even went against it .In many fields ,they showed the new special charms and the distinctive new fashion of women in Wei and Jin Dynasties .
