饶宗颐遍和清真词，为史上第一人。制作形上词，开拓新词境。英国诗人济慈尝谓诗人玮篇，每成于无眠之际。无论其填词，还是做学问，皆颇注重“向上一路”，善于作形上之思。所和清真《六丑》、《惠兰芳引》、《玉烛新》三章，歌咏睡、影、神，展示形上词创作的方法与途径。将落想、设色、定型与西方意识流技巧相联系，为现代主义手法的中国化进行一次有益的尝试。

Jao Tsung-i was the first men who echoed to all the Zhou Bangyan's song lyrics.He tried to produce metaphysi-cal works to open up the boundary.The British poet Keats also once said those wonderful poems were frequently created in sleepless nights.Metaphysical thinking was sufficiently highlighted both in his writing and studying.His three respon-sorial ci-poems including Liu Chou,Hui Lan Fang Yin and Yu Zhu Xin,which praised sleeping,shadow and spirit re-spectively,displayed the metaphysical creation methods and integrated the stream of consciousness from the west with the indigenous skills of imagining,coloring and shaping.That's a positive attempt to speed up the chinization of modernism.
