永兴县地处湖南省东南部，永兴方言的归属曾经有过不同意见，这些不同意见的产生有两个主要原因：一是专家使用的标准与方法存在差异，二是永兴方言自身内部的复杂情况。永兴县内部便江东、便江西方言存在较大的差异，从相关历史背景来看，永兴方言又与郴县的西南官话以及江西的赣方言有着密切的关联。

영흥현지처호남성동남부，영흥방언적귀속증경유과불동의견，저사불동의견적산생유량개주요원인：일시전가사용적표준여방법존재차이，이시영흥방언자신내부적복잡정황。영흥현내부편강동、편강서방언존재교대적차이，종상관역사배경래간，영흥방언우여침현적서남관화이급강서적공방언유착밀절적관련。
Yongxing County is located in the southeast of Hunan province,and about the belonging of Yongxing dialect,different experts have different opinions.There are two main reasons,one reason is that the standards and methods the experts used are different from each other,and the other reason is related to the complexity of Yongxing dialect.There are many dialectical differences between Yongx-ing County,especially the east and the west of Biang River.Based on historical background,Yongx-ing dialect has close relations with southwest Mandarin language and Gan dialect in Jiangxi province.
