The operation characteristics of high attitude wind turbines had been analyzed and compared with common wind tur-bines. Methods to improve aerodynamic performance of high attitude wind turbines had been presented, such as increasing the rated rotate speed, reducing the design tip speed ratio of blade and pitching ahead of schedule.
