Waste gas containing BTEX is a common kind of industrial pollutant, and is very harmful. As a most widely used technology of waste gas, adsorption method has attracted much attention. Therefore, the progress in the treatment of waste gas containing BTEX using adsorption method was systematically overviewed. The treatment mechanism of adsorption method was introduced. Several kinds of adsorbents were classified and described, such as activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, organobentonite, and some newly adsorbing materials. The development direction of adsorption method in the future was also proposed.
