任火先生的《汉字百味》借助表意文字的独特构造，从文化的角度探索汉字的起源、发展，通过多种修辞手段的描摹把对汉字的解读指向“生命”的内涵，回味每一个汉字所蕴含的精神智慧。之所以如此，根本来说，导源于作者对自己身为一个写作者的身份的尊重，对自己写作时所肩负的社会责任感的探索和认同。可以说《汉字百味》是对写作原点理论“修辞立其诚”的一个具体诠释和论证。

By means of the unique structure of ideograph,A Taste of Chinese Characters written by Ren Huo explores the origin and development of Chinese characters from a cultural perspective. It tastes the wisdom embodied in each Chinese character through the delineation of a variety of rhetorical devices used to dig out the living connotation of the Chinese Characters. The writing purpose of the author comes from his self-respect and self-identity of the social responsibility he shoulders.A Taste of Chinese Characters is a specific interpretation and argumentation to the basic theory of writing: rhetoric is dominated by sincerity.
