Energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (EDXRF) are widely used for determination of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and metal elements in other materials. Aiming at the lack of the measurement specifications and the actual test requirement of the EDXRF, calibration items and methods were proposed, including visual inspection, linear error, repeatability and safety performance. Meanwhile, the uncertainty evaluation of linear error was described in detail.
