Vocabulary teaching plays an important role in English Teaching in higher vocational colleges. To a certain extent, the English teaching quality is restricted by the method of vocabulary memory. Based on the current situation of English vocabulary teaching, the article suggests applying the method of associative memory to vocabulary teaching, thus leading the students to master a scientific and reasonable method of memorizing, and to enlarge their vocabulary effectively.
