以文化生态学为依据，研究了清末民初梅州足球发端发展的影响因素。自然经济条件和人文社会基础促进了梅州学校足球和休闲足球的发展，但是却限制了竞技足球的发展。强国强民的爱国情怀是梅州足球发展的精神动力。在与海洋文化、商文化的冲突和融合中所形成的客家文化精神与现代足球文化精神的契合，则是梅州竞技足球发展的重要文化内因。
以文化生態學為依據，研究瞭清末民初梅州足毬髮耑髮展的影響因素。自然經濟條件和人文社會基礎促進瞭梅州學校足毬和休閒足毬的髮展，但是卻限製瞭競技足毬的髮展。彊國彊民的愛國情懷是梅州足毬髮展的精神動力。在與海洋文化、商文化的遲突和融閤中所形成的客傢文化精神與現代足毬文化精神的契閤，則是梅州競技足毬髮展的重要文化內因。

This article studies,from the cultural ecological perspective,the influencing factors of the development of football in Meizhou during the Late Qing-Early Republican period. The natural economic conditions and sociocultural environment promoted as well as limited the development of school-football and leisure-football. The patriotic feeling of making the whole nation and people more powerful was the spiritual driving force. The agreement between the Hakka culture,which was the result of both the long-time conflict and integration between ocean culture and commercial culture,and modern football culture were an important cultural factor.
