The research, lasting for one year, focused on an experiment on the application of Automated Essay Scoring to writing teaching. It explored the impact of Automated Essay Scoring followed by peer feedback on students'writing abilities, and showed that compared with the pure intelligent evaluation, Automated Essay Scoring followed by peer feedback not only was warmly recog-nized by the students in developing their writing abilities, but also developed students'reader awareness and stimulated their en-thusiasm for writing as well as their writing autonomy.
