One of the major differences between business English and general English is the special meaning of vocabulary and wide use of business jargons, which results in the significance of vocabulary study in learning business English courses. English be-ing the learning tool and business the learning content, a typical business English class enables students to acquire the language knowledge through the process of learning the business knowledge. This characteristic in turn facilitates the application of situa-tion-based method in teaching vocabulary, thus enabling the vocabulary acquisition to be produced in specific and vivid situations. Based on the situational teaching theory and the features of business English, this paper mainly analyzes how to effectively teach business English vocabulary under the guidance of situational teaching theory.
